About Fujairah

Fujairah is the main emirate that is found totally on the eastern bank of the UAE along the Bay of Oman.

The Al Sharqi tribe's leader, Sheikh Mohammed bin Mattar, built his castle and the old city that surrounded it in 1808. The current ruler of Fujairah is H. H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi.

From the city of Fujairah in the south to the town of Dibba in the far north, the shores of Fujairah stretch for approximately 70 kilometers along the Gulf of Oman. The emirate of Fujairah has a total area of 1,450 square kilometers. km.

The fishing and agriculture sectors make up Fujairah's economy, and rainwater from the Hajjar Mountains is used to irrigate the city's land.

The rugged mountains, valleys, waterfalls, oases, and wide sandy beaches of Fujairah set it apart. Numerous mineral and cold springs are present.

Fujairah has a cooler climate than Abu Dhabi and Dubai because of its easterly position. Weekend visitors looking to escape the heat are drawn to Fujairah's peaceful and relaxed atmosphere.

The Wadi Al Wurayah waterfalls, Ain Al Madhab Gardens, the Al Bidya Mosque, and the Heritage Village are all popular tourist destinations.
